Community Garage Sale Weekend Friday June 6 – Saturday June7

If you want to have a garage sale with lots of customers coming around to check out your goods, start getting ready. You know you have things that need to move on and find new homes where they will be appreciated anew. You can have your own garage sale any time, of course, but we can make it better as a cooperative event.

We will make a map to post on Facebook and Nextdoor, and we will have several of the participants handing out printed copies. The maps will show the garage sale addresses, and optionally the categories of what you are selling.

Southern Gables/Valley View and Parkwest Ridge

Advertise your own garage sale the way you normally would, and we will also advertise the community effort to bring in more buyer traffic. 

Now is the time to start getting your things together…

… and get on the map!

Call or text Marci DeMott at 303-319-3177 no later than June 3 with your address. The sooner the better. Optionally, if you have specialty items or collectibles, list them too. 

Increased traffic because of wider advertising is a big part of why joining in with the community weekend will help your sale. In your own ads, posts, or word-of-mouth promotion, mention that it’s a community garage sale Friday and Saturday (Sunday is optional, on your own.)

We are looking forward to the community atmosphere, sense of camaraderie among neighbors, and lots of variety.

Having your garage sale on the same weekend as your neighbors is a good thing for everyone involved. It can create a more vibrant and exciting event for the community. more buyers, and more for the buyers to choose from. That’s why we are coordinating the sale dates for Two neighborhoods! More sellers! More buyers!

We will put together a map that people can use to find all the sales for Southern Gables/Valley View and Parkwest Ridge. To participate in the coordinated sale weekend, call or text Marci DeMott at 303-319-3177 no later than June 3 with your address, in order to be added to the map of participating homes. The map will not show your name, just the address and if you have any specialty items such as books, baby furniture, antiques, tools, sporting goods, etc., mention that as well. We’re looking forward to a successful event for all.
