Neighborhood Night Out!
Neighborhood Night Out! Whether you are a longtime Southern Gables resident or a new arrival, we want you to know about our annual event that brings neighbors together at the Green Gables Elementary School campus, “The Heart of Southern Gables.” It’s not just for school families though…
… it’s for ALL Southern Gables and Valley View residents. From our far northern boundary at Jewell Avenue to the southern edge at sunny Morrison Road, and from Garrison all the way over to Wads, ALL of our neighbors are invited to come and listen to the music, browse the booths and games, get their kids’ faces painted, and have some tasty hot dogs, chips, and drinks.
And most importantly, visit with friends and neighbors.
It’s tonight! Well, today.
Starting at 5:00 and ending before sunset, 7:30.
The Southern Gables Neighborhood Association, in cooperation with Green Gables Elementary School and PTA and the full-hearted support of Westwoods Community Church, will provide free hot dogs,* chips, drinks, face painting, a bouncy house, a live DJ, and over 20 booths by participating neighborhood/community associations and business sponsors of Southern Gables. Our booth participants will have family-friendly games and activities for everyone. In addition, Lakewood Police Department and West Metro Fire will have displays as well. We all love connecting with neighbors and welcoming new neighbors to the Southern Gables area. This activity is yours, PLEASE PARTICIPATE. Make NEIGHBORHOOD NIGHT OUT A NEIGHBOR EVENT FOR EVERYONE.
We are looking forward to engaging with our community service organizations and business supporters on Neighborhood Night Out. We like to encourage doing business with our neighbors in whatever ways we can.
* P.S. The hot dogs will be provided in part by Joy’s Kitchen. If you’re unfamiliar with Joy’s, take a look at the article we wrote about them last year, and consider volunteering next week: Doing Good. But tonight: Neighborhood Night Out!
Oh, and here’s that flyer again.
